Christmas is finally here, and the new year is just around the corner. In the hustle and bustle of the holidays, you’re probably pretty overwhelmed. There are so many things to plan for and so many gifts to shop for, it can all be a little crazy to manage. If you are entertaining this holiday, decorating is probably another big stressor on your list. We are here to make your life easier. Here are our DIY bathroom holiday decoration ideas:

Make a Wreath

One of the easiest decorations that you can make are holiday wreaths. If you visit your local craft store, you can find a wreath base for cheap. When you buy your base, make sure you are also picking up push pins and any festive elements you may want to include such as fake branches, berries, and ribbons. When you make a wreath for your bathroom, it will bring some life into the room. You can create your wreath for a strictly Christmas feel with lots of reds, greens, and golds, or keep it holiday neutral with whites and blues. Regardless, this will make your space stand out and serves as an easy, beautiful holiday decoration.

Snip Some Snowflakes

This is a great craft to involve the kids with. We all remember the craft of folding and cutting paper to make snowflakes, but you can put a fun new spin on it for your bathroom decor. Choose different colors, shapes, and sizes of paper and get the whole family together to create some fun and beautiful snowflakes. You can tape these to your windows and create a whole blizzard right in your bathroom.

Create a Holiday Candle Holder

You can spruce up your space by adding a little bit of flair to what’s already there. Create holders for your candles using items such as mason jars, pine cones, glitter, and ribbons. You can paint designs onto these jars and add other little add-ons that remind you of Christmas. Candle holders are simple and easy but will make your space feel that much more cozy to any guests that you have coming in town for the holiday. This extra DIY touch will show how much you care and will add your personality into the space.

Haul out the Holly

Decorations do not have to be complicated. Simply laying holy, fake evergreen branches, and pinecones around your sink and cabinet areas can make your guests feel like they are in a Christmas cottage. Get creative with these simple decorations and put them in places that would usually go untouched. You don’t have to stop at this outdoor theme, you can also use things like ribbon, candy canes, and bells to add to the theme. Anything even remotely Christmassy will help bolster the feel and give your space an inviting glow.

Paint a Holiday Tapestry

One of the most overlooked parts of the bathroom are the walls. Many people do not decorate this space, but it can be a great place to fill with decor. Visit your local craft store to pick up a simple canvas and paints to create a lasting and memorable holiday decoration. You can stick with something simple; paint the word “joy” or the phrase, “happy holidays”. If you are feeling artistically inclined, paint something a little more complicated- like Santa Claus or a gingerbread house. A tapestry is a fun way to express yourself and a simple way to make your space feel cozy. Your guests will be impressed that you took the time to make these hanging decorations.
